Some More Brilliance

I always feel somewhat childish saying this, but I LOVE Harry Potter. I mean, I am a Potter fanatic. People will look at me like I'm insane when I say this, but it's the truth. J.K. Rowling created a genius story and the complexity of her plot lines just amazes me. What can I say? J.K Rowing is brilliant! People may say Harry Potter is a children's book, but that's ok, because I'm still a child at heart. (According to my father, I'm still a child. :] ) But Harry Potter is not just a children's book, but a book for all ages. I love it! I'll never stop, no matter how childish it may seem. :)

  1. I too am a die hard Harry Potter fan. I re-read all the books every year, and I also have movie marathons quite frequently. I thoroughly enjoy getting lost in the life of Harry Potter, what can I say? It's just so exciting, it's hard not to get addicted. If that is not enough to convince you... I'll admit to crying while I watched both the sixth and seventh (part 1) movie! Have you read "Beedle the Bard" ? And if you don't have it already, you should check out the pop-up book, it has A LOT of fun facts that are not in the books!

  2. I bawled like a baby when I read Deathly Hallows!! Especially when Fred died! The twins were my favorite characters. But I truly believe David Yarwa is ruining these movies!! Lol
As for Beetle the Bard, I have the book, but I haven't read the whole thing yet. I definitely have to finish it though. Is it just the pop-up version that has extra info or every addition?

  3. I only ever read the first Harry Potter book back in the day because as a child I did not like to read much. (It wasn't until high school that I developed a passion for reading- better late then never, right.) But I recently saw an interview with JK Rowling that Oprah did, and Rowling seems like such an interesting and down to earth person! She talked about how the dementors (I think that's what they are called) stemmed from her depression, which I thought was interesting. I want to go back and read all the books now!

  4. I cannot believe I forgot about the Harry Potter books. They were amazing stories. JK Rowling is able to conjure up her wildest imagination to be able to think up such a detailed and magical world. The movies were not bad, I think, but nothing compares to books and the images we take away from reading them. :)

  5. There's no need to feel childish! (then again, there's nothing wrong with getting in touch with the inner-child) I agree with you though, I love the whole series and J.K. Rowling. I don't think it's said enough how much of an influence she has had on the literacy of, well, society in general. She has children and adults reading and not just some children's book. She has all of us reading pieces of literature that resonates through the reader and evokes every feeling and emotion. I'm glad that you wrote about her. If you didn't then I sure would have! Okay...I'm going to step off of my soap box now. :)
